Never be sad like this pussy cat friends…live life King size, submitting ur lives to God…
Wow, the photo pierced me with its silent wonder at a glimpse. It was the real thunder. I sensed myself as if looking at my own heart and the heart was racing in my hands.
Thank you for the sharing of … it was like a sip of fresh air that gave me good shake indeed – thank you once again
The verse above has little to admonish or instruct us about “sadness”, rather it speaks to the selfishness of anxiety.
Being anxious is the lack of discipline in trusting God’s love for our circumstance. Trusting God’s love and nurturing in each of our circumstances is the reason we can take at face value the admonition to give HIM praise in each and every circumstance of life.
Christ was sorrowful (sad), as a matter of fact HE was so sad the shortest scripture in the Holy Writ is attribuited to His care for Lazurus. The scripture simply and eloquently states, “Jesus wept.”
Certainly this admonition exonerates the attitude of being sad; that it is ok to be sad.
It is however counter-productive and destructive to ones health to be in a state of anxiety.
The Psalm would have us understand that anxiety or worry “dries us the bones” making one ill and sick.
